Gay Weddings Are Cool Screenprint, spraypaint, stonehenge paper.
My moms got married in 2004. They had to drive to Canada because gay marriage was not legal at the time. They didn’t have the luxury of celebrating with friends and family, so they waited until they returned to the States. In this print, I honor them through layered silkscreen over spray paint, using a photograph of the trunk of their car from when they were setting up for their wedding celebration.
